Vietnamese President meets Danish crown prince in Hanoi

Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang met here on Monday with the visiting Danish crown prince Frederik during the latter's visit to Vietnam on the occasion of the two countries' 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations.

At the reception, Sang welcomed Danish crown prince's visit, saying it would contribute to further promoting relations between the two countries.

The Vietnam-Denmark relations have finely developed, especially in cooperation for development in economics, trade and investment. Vietnam is trying to shift to new stage of development, with focus on the quality of growth, so it wants to share experience with other developed countries, including Denmark, Sang said.

Vietnam wants to receive support and cooperation with Denmark in green growth, climate change and sustainable power using, and hopes the two countries will soon lift the bilateral relations to the level of strategic partnership, Sang added.

Crown prince Frederik thanked the Vietnamese leader for his warm welcome, saying many Danish businesses who accompanied his to this visit wanted to cooperate with Vietnam.

Denmark wants to share experience with Vietnam in education and training of high-quality human resources, said Frederik.

The crown prince invited the Vietnamese President to visit Denmark, and his invitation was accepted.
